In a very unusual turn of events, spring break in Idaho was actually nice this year! Temperatures reaching 75 degrees and sunshine - usually unheard of here until May. I hear it actually rained the first weekend, but luckily I escaped to the warmer weather of Las Vegas.
A photo-blog of my most enjoyable weekend:
First and most importantly -
good friends. We all planned to be here this weekend separately and ended up getting to see each other! This was my favorite part of the whole trip- I love these people!

Enjoying long-awaited crepes and mysteriously free drinks at the Paris with Melanie and Shiloh |
| Creepily stalking Josh and Rosa at their fancy dinner |
| And the very enthusiastic, but directionally challenged Jake! |
Food (the only food I managed to photograph before gobbling)
| Eating the first of many fancy cupcakes. This particular one was red velvet, from the Paris. |
| In true Vegas fashion, even the cupcake is covered in glitter. Ke$ha would be so proud |
Escalators (after a day of walking miles, they're everyone's best friends)
| Why did no one tell me my shirt was riding up so awkwardly?! |
| There are even spiral escalators |
And
sightseeing:
| The view out of the hotel room. Every morning I awoke to a gorgeous desert sunrise out this window but my sleepiness prevented any post-able pictures |
| An oasis |
| A castle |
| The big city |
| Fancy fountains (NOTE: Do not attempt to recreate the statues' poses. It does not end well for anyone) |
Alas, all good things must end, and I ended up back in Boise, trying to prolong the break by baking cupcakes and adorning my house with spring-y flowers.
To tide you over until next spring, here's an adorable bunny rabbit!
Always,
A
